What We Do
What We Do
We help YOU make a difference
The American Youth Council is a 501 (c)(3) public charity. Our mission is to help kids participate in community service and charity. We develop events, programs and products that celebrate young people, and that enable them to help others.
Starting in 2020 we are 100% focused on Community Service for young people. We provide helpful tips, and project ideas in our Resource Center. Our blog highlights the accomplishments of students and their local projects, plus a look at community service heroes through the ages in our 'Do Good Chronicles' project.
If you want us to help you, AYC will provide community service credit hours and Presidents Volunteer Service Award hours to high school and college students in the United States who choose to conduct programs in their communities and coordinate with AYC.
For our part, we will connect students and their faculty advisors to local charitable organizations and businesses that will partner with them. We will also promote the projects through our Social Media system of emails, videos, online platforms, and press releases.
To qualify for Community Service Hours, use our custom Community Service Project system called HELPWORX, a complete community service project development program.
