AYC announces a new partnership with InsideOut Global www.insideoutglobal.org, a community of filmmakers who work with young people and use film to help them discover their gifts and strengths. AYC and InsideOut Global will be collaborating on the new AYC program GOALS (Going Over and Above in Leadership & Service) to produce anti-drug and alcohol short films, beginning in Cobb County Georgia with high school football programs.

AYC is selected to participate in the Global Giving August Fundraising Challenge along with other worldwide aid agencies. For its Holiday For Hope 2011 event, AYC is anticipating serving 5000 children in the Christmas season. The Global Giving Challenge will help offset costs by developing pre-season financial support for the event, and qualify AYC for permanent status on the Global Giving patform, enabling corporate sponsorships and larger donor networks.

The American Youth Council, Inc. is an Official Certifying Organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award. All participants in AYC Service Learning programs accumulate hours toward this award, plus qualify for Community Service Hours.

The inaugural Holiday For Hope event serves 900 children and 100 group home and shelter staff with Christmas gifts, dinner, visits with Santa, face-painting, crafts, cookie decorating, and music. With an overflow of donations, the event subsequently provided a further 2000 children with Christmas gifts before Christmas day. Thanks to all our great supporters, volunteers and donors!

AYC will partner with the Children’s Restoration Network and the 2200+ children they support in 135 group homes and shelters around the metro Atlanta area for the Holiday For Hope Christmas Party. www.childrn.org.

AYC announces our new partnership with the Dreams For Kids, Inc. children’s charity to develop the Atlanta Holiday For Hope event for December 12, 2010. HFH will serve Atlanta metro homeless families in providing Christmas to 1000 children. Athletes from AYC events will support the event as a service project.
